نترك السياسة جانبا لنتكلم في الشعر الذي ليس لي منه الا حفظه
والاستمتاع بقراءته أو سماعه .. أما نظمه فاتركه لمن هو أهل له
قيل: أشعر الشعراء من وقف واستوقف .. وبكى واستبكى
وذكر الحبيب والمنزل في شطر واحد ولم يلحن
وهو بالتاكيد امرؤ القيس عندما قال
قفا نبك من ذِكرى حبيب ومنزل
قفا: وقف واستوقف
نبك: بكى واستبكي
وذكر الحبيب والمنزل في نفس الشطر

Salaam, this is a great blog!
I like the way you "summed" up Imru al Qais poetic abilities/qualities. I couldn't garantee with you more.
What about the "tal7een" though?

I've never tried the "tal7een" and I will never do so. It will sound foolish for me.:-) I will stick to my ability to memorize poetries and I won't go any further.
